Manage USB devices
One of the most annoying things for a contract manager is to manage USB connected devices.
First challenge is to identify the amount of USB devices in your organization. There are multiple ways of doing this, but PrinterCare has decided to develop a local client in order to maximize the result for the search of USB devices.
As we use this local client we can also tackle the second challenge which is collecting the actual data of the device in a similar way as we do for the networked devices. Our goal is to get an equal amount of information available as if we would collect for network devices, so not just the existence of the device, but also relevant meter readings, toner information and service alert information.
The only thing we need from you is to roll-out the small DCA (a small windows based software tool) on the devices in your network. This can be done manually or automated from a central level.
